Gentlemen Start Your Engines! And Ladies Too!

We had a great time testing our different surfaces with our Hot Wheels.  Our gravel road(  crumpled aluminum foil) required the most force to get our cars going.  Our icy road ( wax paper) had the least friction and caused a few spin outs.  Everyone had a blast!

What a day!

We've had a very eventful day so far.  This morning we enjoyed some local business people coming in to talk with us about the goods and services they provide to our community.  Then it started to SNOW!

We were so excited and I couldn't not take them out for just a few minutes and now we have our Valentine Party to look forward too.   Wow! What a day!

Math stations

This week we are strengthening our 2D shape knowledge.  our favorite station this week is Geobands.   Similar to the game headbands , but with shapes.   

We also worked with geoboards, ten marks, and pattern blocks.
